Fish Tale Grill by Merrick Seafood delivered an excellent dining experience. The service was attentive and friendly, and every dish was cooked perfectly. The quality of the seafood was outstanding. A couple of things to know before you go: prices are on the higher side, and the portions are smaller than you might expect for the cost. Also, the restaurant doesn't allow substitutions for the sides that come with each entrée. For example, another guest in our party received risotto with their stuffed fish, but I wasn't allowed to substitute risotto for the side that came with my meal. Overall, the food and service were excellent!

What a neat place! The vibe was really special - lots of effort put into lighting and decor. Music was a little loud. We ordered NE Fish and Chips, the whole lobster (one of the specials), the steak and pasta, and for dessert got the chocolate mousse. All are pictured. We decided the fish & chips (mashed potatoes for the side) was the winner. The batter was excellent and the fish was light and flaky. Mashed potatoes were average but good. The lobster was good - nice size and cooked right. Side of coleslaw that was mild without too much vinegar. The steak and pasta was tender and the Alfredo was flavorful. The chocolate mousse was less mousse, more cake. Very rich but good. Wait staff was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. We would return for sure.

My daughter took me here for Mother’s Day. She got the Jumbo Shrimp that comes with one side. She got potato salad. She liked the fried shrimp and also liked the potato salad. Said it had a great flavor. I got the Stuffed Maine Lobster. The stuffing was only ok. Actually it was kind of mushy. Stove Top would have been better. The lobster meat was in the claws (pinchers). Glad my daughter was there because I could not crack them. We also got the crème brûlée to share. It was not enough for two to share. As a suggestion they could give you a dinner roll, biscuit, bread or cracker to eat for the long wait until you get your order.

My overall experience was phenomenal from service to cocktails. To the food that we ordered off the happy hour menu. I cannot believe their quality and portions for the price! Grouper bites, cocktail shrimp and oysters! Fresh fresh fresh! I am portuguese and seafood is my go to, you will not be disappointed. Spicy Margarita was on point! 1-5 pm happy hour great food selections under 10 dollars for the happy hour menu! #happyhourfavorite

We were here a couple of years ago and really liked it, so we made a point to come back during a short trip to town. The live music created a great atmosphere, and the food was consistently good. We ordered the wedge salad with lobster, Gulf oysters, fish & chips, and a Bloody Mary — everything was fresh and well prepared. A solid spot we’re happy to return to.
